Honeywrap – Designing Fabric considerations.

  • As our wraps are cut from a roll, the repeating print design should be at least every 20cm to ensure all your design elements appear on each wrap.
  • Honeywrap logo below – check out our Honeywrap website for other ideas on the use of the logo in the print
  • In order to avoid bleed and loss of fine lines in the design we highly recommend printing on a lighter background with dark text. Our organic cotton is an off-white / light cream colour and the wax is a golden colour which results in the final product having a golden wash look.
  • The print lines should ideally be a minimum of 1mm thick on a lighter background to avoid dye colours bleeding into each other.

Honeywrap was inspired by nature and a passion for reducing single use plastic to help preserve our planet for the future.

Our vision is to make a difference for the next generation. We are committed to conservation, communities and commerce working in harmony to create a sustainable, healthier world.

Each Honeywrap beeswax wrap is made locally in New Zealand from GOTS certified organic cotton and natural ingredients. Honeywraps are reusable, sustainable and offer a natural alternative to plastic food wrap.

Best of luck with the competition.

Honeywrap Team.

Bird of The Year, Forest & Bird Collaboration

Honeywrap was started to help protect nature. We are all about raising awareness and hopefully inspiring people to take simple actions that make a combined difference.

We love partnering with charities and supporting the awesome work that they do.

We are excited to be partnering with Forest and Bird, again for the Bird of the Year 2020 campaign.

Bird of the Year is an annual election-based competition run by Forest & Bird to elect a "Bird of the Year" in New Zealand. It draws support from well-known personalities including politicians, artists, actors, celebrity chefs.

Many of New Zealand native birds are in crisis with over two thirds threatened with extinction.

Bird of the Year celebrates our unique birds and with each vote you make, helping give them a voice.

We are proud to support bird of the year with $1 from each limited edition Bird of the year wrap supporting Forest and Bird and the work they do protecting, restoring and defending New Zealand’s precious wildlife and wild places.

You can vote for your favourite bird at birdoftheyear.org.nz. Voting for 2020 starts 2 Nov - 15 Nov, with the winner announced on Monday 16 November 2020.

Forest and Bird is New Zealand’s leading independent conservation organisation. They do not receive government funding and rely on donations to support their work. You can help them by donating or get involved at a local branch as a volunteer. Check out their website for easy ways to get involved: www.forestandbird.co.nz.
